Ms. Ada Nexha is a psychotherapist-in-training currently completing the Master of Psychotherapy program at McMaster University. She is working toward registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) under the supervision of Vera Woloshyn and Dr. Michelle Lohnes. Ada holds a PhD in Neuroscience and brings experience from clinical research with individuals experiencing mood, anxiety, and trauma-related concerns. She is interested in integrating neuroscience and research-informed perspectives into clinical care to encourage holistic and lasting change.
Ada is currently working with adults and has an interest in working with adolescents and children. She supports individuals experiencing anxiety, mood-related concerns, stress, interpersonal conflicts, and life transitions. Her approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). As a therapist in training, Ada is supportive of an ongoing learning and reflective practice with clients. She strives to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel supported in exploring their experiences and working toward their personal goals.
