Dr. Jean Dennis is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York in May 2018. Since 2000, Dr. Dennis has held clinical positions at Hamilton Health Sciences Centre, Peel Halton Acquired Brain Injury Services, and Bartimaeus Inc. (a local agency providing behaviour therapy and support to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors who are experiencing behavioral, social, emotional, and psychiatric difficulties). She is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association and the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
Dr. Jean Dennis provides psychological intervention and assessment for children, teens, and adults. Her primary areas of practice include treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, brain injury and concussion, and relationship and self-esteem issues. She works with children presenting with autism spectrum disorders, learning disability, and developmental delays. She provides advocacy and support for teens and adults exploring gender identity and gender transition.
NEW: Given the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to providing in person appointments, we are providing psychology services online using a secure internet-based video program as well as by phone. We currently have varying waitlists as we have expanded our hours to accommodate the increased demand in Mental Health Services.
