Katie Brown

Ms. Katie Brown is a genuine and warm-hearted psychotherapist.  After completing her degree in Child and Youth Studies, and her diploma for Social Service Worker, Ms. Brown completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
 She has conducted assessments with adolescents, has ongoing experience with assessments tools, and has scored a variety of tests for psycho-educational assessments. Ms. Brown also provides group and individual therapy.
Her therapeutic approach draws from a multidimensional approach using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Mindfulness, as well as Brief and Narrative therapy.
Ms. Brown is excited to help children, adolescents, and parents overcome the struggles they face.  She is a registered facilitator for the Circle of Security program; a parents reflection group based on attachment and secure development.
Her areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, stress, emotion regulation, parenting, adjustment difficulties, self- compassion, education, and assessments.
