Payton holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with a co-op designation from Wilfrid Laurier University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with the goal of becoming a Registered Psychological Associate.
Her interest in psychology developed throughout her undergraduate studies, where she completed numerous courses in the field. Her passion for mental health is further demonstrated through diverse volunteer experiences, including providing care for infants in community programs for young mothers and offering emotional support to individuals across Canada through Kids Help Phone. Additionally, her experience working alongside mental health professionals in clinical settings has deepened her commitment to the field.
Payton has hands-on experience with psychological assessment tools and has scored a variety of tests for psychoeducational assessments. She is currently involved in assessing children, adolescents, and adults for developmental and learning disabilities, anxiety, ADHD, further refining her clinical skills in psychological assessment and diagnosis.
