Vera Woloshyn

Ms. Woloshyn is a caring professional who works passionately to support adults and families navigate challenging life events. She holds a client-centered, strengths-based and holistic approach to wellness that acknowledges the importance of individuals’ cognitive, emotional, social, cultural, familial, physical, and spiritual experiences. Ms. Woloshyn holds a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. Ms. Woloshyn also holds a PhD in Psychology (research-focused) from the University of Western Ontario and is Professor Emeritus at Brock University.
 Ms. Woloshyn has worked with individuals who experience concerns related to anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, learning challenges, domestic violence, social skills, stress and anger management, and emotional regulation. She is trained in the use of multiple treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy and Deep Brain Reorienting (Level 1). Ms. Woloshyn is also a Certified EMDR Therapist and offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy to assist individuals to address the impacts of trauma and facilitate deep emotional healing.
